My Travels (but I still hate blogs)
Dia del Independence

Another week in Xela has passed, and I can’t believe it, but I’m almost halfway done with this leg of the trip. However this week should be really fun because it’s the week of the Guatemalan Independence Day (Sept 15), so there are parties and a giant fair and the celebrations go on for a week. Still having a ridiculously busy schedule and only free on the weekends, but loving every day of it. Going to dinner with my friend Jenny tonight and possibly to the fair. Miss everyone and sending you love from my Guatemalan home.

This is Espooma the dog at my school. We are obsessed with each other, she spends a good half of the class in my lap

Guate

Hola familia and amigos. So I’m in Guatemala. It’s crazy how much my life has changed in a week and a half. It’s literally done a complete 180 since leaving Burlington. I’m up each morning at six for my morning yoga class, then I have school for 5 hours, some sort of activity in the afternoon (hiking, musuem tours, community volunteer work, etc.) then two more hours of yoga class, homework, and bed by 10. It’s really different but so far I love it. Since I spent my summer partying, playing,  and crying with all you lovers it’s kinda nice to focus on myself for a little while. I am however very much looking forward to Buenos Aires in a month. I guess I’ll keep this thing updated as to what I’m doing (that’s the point right??) I miss everyone at home and I’m thinking of you guys every day. Mucho amor
